Zombieland

Recently there was a Friday the 13th and we wanted to watch a horror-type movie, but it was a little hard to find one that wasn't too scary or gory for the girls (or me) to watch. We ended up on Zombieland, a movie that Tyler and I enjoy, and it isn't too scary for the girls to watch. They thought it was funny, and they didn't, thankfully, have Zombie nightmares afterward. This themed dinner was effortless; sometimes that is just what we need!

If you have watched this movie, you would know the start of the Zombies in this particular movie was from a gas station hamburger. So, we had our very own Mad Cow Burger, which was just from In-N-Out as the girls prefer burgers from any place over our own. Plus, this had to be bought (but I couldn't do an actual gas station burger) since the burger in the movie was not cooked at home either.

We made a classic drink for this themed dinner, the Zombie. It consists of pineapple juice, peach schnapps, gold rum, and dark rum. The girls only had the pineapple juice that was mixed with some grapefruit Fresca. They seemed to enjoy it as did Tyler and me!
The dessert was also an easy choice. Throughout the whole movie, Texas is obsessed with the idea of finding those amazing cream-filled golden sponge cakes, Twinkies. He goes the entire movie unable to find a Twinkie and we had an equally difficult time finding them as Tyler had to go to multiple stores. In the end, he does finally get one and so did we. Not the most glamorous dessert but it worked as it

Hope you enjoyed reading about this themed night dinner! Comment below what you thought about it.
