Where are my Beatles fans at?! We listen to the Beatles quite frequently in our house. Recently, Tyler and I even went to see the show Rain which is all about the Beatles. I am not sure if you are familiar with this movie, Yesterday, but it's about a man who gets in an accident and when he wakes up, the world doesn't know who the Beatles are. As a song writer/performer, he feels the world must have their songs to hear. So throughout the movie, he becomes famous as he remembers each song from memory and takes credit as he wrote them himself. There are, however, a few people in the world that still remember the Beatles and are forever grateful for him to bring these songs back. He eventually comes clean and throws his career away, but it was the right thing to do! It's a good movie, the girls surprisingly enjoyed it. Plus, we love Beatles songs, so it was fun to sing along.

The day we did this theme, it was a busy day. Jules and I just came home from a birthday party after a morning of basketball. We were elated that our theme involved no cooking what so ever! Went to the store earlier the day and picked up everything we needed for the day. Let's see what we did.

We all love our Yellow Sub Sandwiches, Yellow Sub Sandwiches. Yup, we had yellow sub sandwhiches. To have the full effect of a submarine, we added an olive for the periscope! We also had our own Strawberry Fields Salad for a side. It consisted of mixed greens, strawberries, almonds and goat cheese! The girls had the salad deconstructed, but they ate it all the same! Overall, simple and eaten by all dinner.

For our drink we had our very own Black Bird drink. It was a mixture of Jack Daniels Honey Tennessee Whiskey, Grand Caronne orange liqueur, and vitamin water along with muddled blackberries! The girls just had the vitamin water and muddled blackberries. They seemed to like the drink!

So if you didn't guess it as you were reading through thinking of Beatles songs, we ended up with Lucy in the Pie with Diamonds! Which was an apple lattice pie that we bought instead of making from scratch. Like I said we had a lot going on this day, so it worked out great. And the best part, was the diamonds that were created from the lattice. Of course, we had it a La mode!

Hope you enjoyed this themed dinner and even tried it yourself. Comment below if you have seen the movie Yesterday and enjoyed it like we did! Tell me what your favorite Beatles song is.
