Top Gun: Maverick

I think we can all say Top Gun was a movie we have been waiting for a sequal for, just did not think it would take over 35 years! Can you believe that, the original was made in 1986. So we had the girls watch the original and then Top Gun Maverick and the girls honestly like the newer one better. I will say it was actually really good, a little bit of nostalgia and lots of action!

So for this themed dinner, we had "You can be my wingman anytime" wings. It was a really easy dinner, which I always enjoy. One of the two girls will eat wings, the other just had chicken fingers.

For the drink we had a "flight" of beer and for the girls, a "flight" of soda. We choose 5 different types of beer for us and 4 sodas for the girls. You can choose any kind and in our case we choose a good variety. Overall it was a hit as they got to try sodas they normally wouldn't drink.

We read that Val Kilmers's character Iceman was making an appearance in the new movie. So we had Iceman's Icees. As a little girl, we had Italian ices all the time but my girls had never had them before. We bought watermelon and blue raspberry flavors and since we did this theme during the summer, it was perfect! Girls really loved them and couldn't wait for the next day to finish the box we got if them.
