Kyrie and I actually saw this movie in the theatres as she is a huge Marvel fan. We both thought it was a great movie and couldn't wait to watch it again with the rest of the family. It was action packed, had lots of humor and the three female superheroes (Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau and Ms.Marvel) worked so well together.

Kyrie and I worked on this themed dinner together and the main dish was not easy to come up with. Due to an event that happened to the three superheroes in the beginning of the movie, their light-based powers are entangled, and they end up switching powers when they used them simultaneously. This entanglement went to us thinking of fusion food where it combines foods from different regions. We found a local fusion restaurant that mixed Chinese and Mexican food. We had shrimp, rice, chow mein, orange chicken, egg rolls and tacos. It was really good and everyone found something that they liked.

We did make a fruit platter that was a replica of Captain Marvel's symbol on her superhero uniform to go along with our dinner. The fruit we used was pineapple, blueberries and strawberries. They were arranged to create this symbol.

Captain Marvel's colors are red, blue and gold and our drink was based off the red color. It consisted of cranberry juice, ginger ale and whipped cream vodka that we had still. The girls had the same minus the vodka. It was a simple drink and tasted good!

Throughout the movie, they keep showing these big pink looking eggs. Come to later find out, they are Flerken eggs which eventually hatch into many, many Flerkens. Our dessert was based off these eggs. Kyrie made rice Krispies and dyed them a pink color. After that she shaped the rice Krispies into egg shapes and…viola…we had Flerken eggs! Rice Krispies always go over well in this house, so they were devoured!

Thanks again for reading along! Hope you enjoyed this themed dinner for The Marvels! Comment below what you thought of the movie or the ideas to go along with this movie!
