Survivor

Tyler and I have been watching the TV show Survivor for many, many years and finally have gotten both of the girls into it. We all talk about what we would do in the situations on the show, and it has been fun having these conversations with them. As much as I like the show, I am not sure I would actually survive on it! I am not a fan of bugs, sleeping on bamboo or eating really nothing for my meals, but it's very fun to watch along. Let's see if we can out wit, out last, out play this themed dinner!

Our main meal was simple, we went off what was usually seen being eaten- rice, mango and coconut, but we did also pretend we went fishing and caught some fresh fish. We searched many restaurants for the best fish to eat for that night but ended up at Baja Fresh. The main reason was because we can get samples of each of the fish they had: salmon, grilled mahi mahi and blackened mahi mahi. We also got some chicken in case the fish didn't go well with Kyrie who is not a fan of fish. It has been a while since a chicken has been seen on Survivor but it is still historically accurate. When it came to the white rice, we rationed it out evenly and it was served in coconut bowls that I happened to have. Again, if you ever watched Survivor, this is what they usually eat their food out of.

The drink was simple, we all just drank coconut water as we wanted to stay true to the game of Survivor!

Now since typically there is no dessert just given to the contestants on the show, we decided to come up with an immunity/reward challenge to win the chocolate brownies that we got. The girls had a blast with this, and an immunity necklace was even given to the winner. Of course, the winner was allowed to choose one person to share the reward with. Since Kyrie was the winner of the challenger, she chose Juliet. Mom and Dad didn't get any!

To keep the game going at home, we even had a tribal council where one was going to be voted off. After lots of scrambling and even Kyrie given the immunity necklace away, the person voted off was Tyler! It was definitely a blind side! He even graced us with an after being voted off video.
