So this themed dinner night, we tried to do something simple as I was quarantined for testing positive for Covid-19. Boo! We landed on another movie found on Disney that didn’t get much attention- Ron Gone Wrong. While Tyler and the girls watched it downstairs, I watched it up in the bedroom. The movie was cute and everyone enjoyed it- a perfect movie for the situation we were in. The movie was about a boy and his new robot friend that ended up malfunctioned. Of course, there was a bad person who wanted to get his hands on the robot and they have to save the robot. So a typical movie. But it had a couple funny parts and maybe showed the girls about friendships! Well let me show you what we did for a simple themed dinner!

We started with the main meal of hotdogs- yup hotdogs! We tried (and maybe failed a bit) turning these hotdogs into robot faces with the mustard/ketchup. I think one hotdog turned out into a decent robot. To make up for the lack of robot hotdogs, we made up for with our sides. Tyler carved a robot watermelon and also created a robot out of veggies! These were the perfect additions.

So our drink was again something a little different….or should we say wrong! We mixed some lemonade with Coke together. We just tried to play with the title of the movie a bit and make our own Ron Gone Wrong drink. Apparently if you search drinks that shouldn’t go together but actually do, you will get a list of some random mixtures. This one is what we thought was good for us. It tasted decent, but most likely won’t drink it again. Maybe if we added some rum or something to it, which you possibly could do.

Since I was separated from the household on this one, Kyrie did the dessert on her own (maybe with me FaceTiming from upstairs). But she measured it, baked it and decorated it! I bought a simple confetti cake mixture and she baked the cupcakes. Then she made, dyed and mixed the buttercream frosting to get that blue/red color of Ron's knitted hat. She also turned the marshmallows into our own Ron and topped the cupcakes with them. My idea was basically for her to make our own Ron Gone Wrong cupcakes and she did just that! And they turned out pretty good! Good job Kyrie!

I know this is a movie that many people haven't particularly seen, buy I hope enjoyed reading about this themed dinner. Comment below what you think!
