I feel like most of our themes these days are for sequels or threequals! The same goes for the movie Disenchanted which is the sequel to Enchanted, but it just took more than a decade to make . The movie picks up also about 15 years later where the young girl in Enchanted is now a teenager and Giselle and Robert have a baby. The premise of the movie is about Giselle questioning her happily ever after and ended up turning her world, as well as, the world of Andalasia upside down. The movie was a little disappointing since the original was so good. But it was nice to see all the original characters reprise their roles in the movie.

So our themed main dish and dessert were different types of turnovers to represent the turning of Giselle and vice versa. The dinner portion was sausage and cheese turnovers and Kyrie helped make them with me. We used canned biscuits and stuffed them with sausage, onions, cream cheese and shredded cheese. Then they were baked in the oven and cooled enough to eat! Super easy! My girls aren't the hugest fan of cream cheese, but they tolerated it with this meal and ate them!

So for the dessert, we had store bought for this one. We didn't have much time to dedicate to baking our own turnovers, so we bought both cream cheese filled and a cherry one. The girls seemed to like them even though they were cream cheese. They didn't even try the cherry one. Oh well! Again it was to represent the turning of evil for Giselle!

We called our drink the Posion Apple. Though there are lots of drinks online called the Posion Apple ours consisted of Cabo Wabo Tequila, orange bitters, hot apple cider and a splash of lemon juice. I can obviously detect Posion because I did not like it. The girls just had apple cider with a bit of lemon twist. And they seemed to like it. Overall, though we are not hot apple cider people.

Overall not my favorite themed dinner that we did, but w shave it a try! I did like how the dinner was super easy to make I didn't have to bake on this one. Hope you enjoyed it along with the movie!
