YEAH BABY, YEAH! Even though this movie is a classic funny movie, its jokes went way over the girls' heads most of the time. I don't think they cared for it, and maybe in a year or two, they will rewatch it and enjoy it. Regardless of the movie fail itself, the themed dinner turned out great!

Since Austin Powers is British, we decided to have some British food. We went to a local restaurant that serves Cornish pasties. A pasty is a folded, baked pastry that consists of meat and vegetable filling. We bought a popular Bangar's and Mash one, and an Italian one in case the girls wouldn't eat the Bangar's and Mash one. Of course, they proved me right and wouldn't even try the Bangar's and Mash one, so they ate the Italian pasty. They were both delicious!

If you know nothing about Austin Powers, let me quickly explain. Austin Powers is a British spy cryogenically frozen and preserved for 30 years to vanquish his nemesis, Dr. Evil. The year that he was preserved was 1960, and so we used that year for our drink and dessert. We decided on a lava lamp drink, and it turned out pretty Grrrr Baby, very Grrr. We made some red-flavored Jello and mixed it with some Welch's sparkling red grape juice. The combination of the two caused the Jello to move and float throughout the juice, and it looks like a Lava Lamp. Girls loved it!
Kyrie made the dessert, and it turned out pretty Groovy Baby! Yeah! They were tie-dye cookies. After preparing the vanilla cookie mix, she dyed multiple sections into bright colors. Then she would take little bits of the colors and combine them. Once baked, all the colors spread out and looked like a tie-dye shirt.
