Tyler and Jules went and saw this movie one night while Kyrie was hanging out with some friends. So, they were to come up with the ideas for the theme. Jules immediately knew what to do for the dessert (as you will see later) but had to think a bit about the dinner. The movie is about Imaginary Friends or the short version IFs, as in the name of the movie. It had a couple of funny parts, but it was more of a serious children's movie about growing up. Plus, the main characters were going through some tough life moments. Overall, it was ok, but not a movie we would probably watch over and over.

In order to understand the dinner portion, a bit of back story has to be explained. The IF characters have their headquarters in an old, abandoned amusement park. Tyer and Jules thought food items that you can get at an amusement park would be fun! So, we had some hot dogs, corn dogs and soft pretzels. Kids enjoyed this actually more than I thought!

Another part of the dinner we had were garlic croissants. There were a few scenes where the IF named Blue would talk about and want garlic croissants. They were super yummy!

So, one of the running gags throughout the movie, was the IF named Keith. He was completely invisible and one of the main characters could never see him and trips on him. The drink then was clear and named Keith. One girl had sparkling water, while the other had just plain water, but they both had some cucumber in it. The adult drink was vodka and a Key Lime La Croix, also with cucumbers. It was a very simple drink, but it was very refreshing!

As I mentioned earlier, Jules knew exactly what she wanted for the dessert. Again, it was based of one of the IFs in the movie. This IF was a burning marshmallow, and his eyes look like they are falling off. So, she added some candy eyes to the marshmallows and then lit it on fire. We then turned the burned marshmallow into a gooey s'more. Milk chocolate for the girls and dark chocolate for Tyler and myself! We did watch this during the summer, so it was a perfect dessert for that as well!

Thanks again for reading along for our IF themed dinner. This is a very easy one to replicate! Comment below what your thoughts were on the movie. See you next time!
